“Healthy Parenting, Pitched by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital” is the latest addition to the world of podcasts, and the hospital’s latest multimedia effort to connect directly with consumers.
The podcast aims to share knowledge on subjects ranging from serious medical conditions such as melanoma to trending topics focused on health, safety, and parenting.
“Our goal is to educate and share interesting healthcare facts and tips that are relevant to parents across the country,” said Co-Host Dr. Latanya Benjamin, a double board-certified pediatric dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. “We want to connect with our community beyond the hospital walls by sharing valuable insights about current trends parents should be aware of and ways to keep your kids healthy, safe and well.”
The biweekly podcast is geared towards parents (or caregivers) of children from newborn to 18 years old.
Each episode will feature co-hosts Dr. Benjamin, who is also a mother of a two-year old daughter, and Jason Henriques-Grant, a single-father of two teenage boys.
Guests will include pediatric healthcare professionals from Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, as well as representatives and subject-matter experts from a variety of community organizations from South Florida and beyond.
