For the sixth consecutive year, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is proud to report that it has earned a U.S. News & World Report’s Best Children’s Hospitals ranking.
Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is recognized among the top 50 children’s hospitals in the nation in pediatric care in the specialty of Pediatric Orthopedics.
“To be nationally recognized as one of the top pediatric hospitals in the country is an honor,” said Caitlin Beck Stella, CEO of Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. “I am proud to be part of an organization that provides outstanding, cutting-edge patient care always with a love for our patients and families is at the center of all we do. We set the bar high because our patients and families deserve only the best.”
Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital stands out nationally as a leader in quality, patient-family care and advocacy for children’s health issues.
The recognition is a reflection of the innovative and multidisciplinary medical expertise available at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. The specialty represents one of the largest board-certified and fellowship-trained pediatric groups in South Florida.
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery provides world-class care for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions of children, adolescents and young adults, including spinal deformities, sports injuries, hip disorders, limb deformity and leg length inequality, cerebral palsy and other neuromuscular disorders.
“The U.S. News Best Children’s Hospitals highlight pediatric centers that deliver state-of-the-art medical care to children with complex conditions,” said Ben Harder, Chief of Health Analysis at U.S. News. “Children with life-threatening or rare conditions need the level of quality care that these hospitals deliver day after day.”
U.S. News introduced the Best Children’s Hospitals rankings in 2007 to help families of children with rare or life-threatening illnesses find the best medical care available. They are the only comprehensive source of quality-related information on U.S. pediatric hospitals.
The U.S. News Best Children’s Hospitals rankings rely on clinical data and on an annual survey of pediatric specialists. The rankings methodology factors in patient outcomes, such as mortality and infection rates, as well as available clinical resources and compliance with best practices.
This year’s rankings will be published in the U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Hospitals 2019” guidebook and available in stores in late September. Visit Best Children’s Hospitals for the complete rankings and use #BestHospitals on Facebook
