Jeff Conines All Star Golf Classic Raises $350000 to Aid Families at Joe DiMaggio Childrens Hospital
January 24, 2022
Jeff & Cindy Conine and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation recently hosted the Conine All-Star Golf Classic, an annual fundraiser that helps underwrite expenses at the Conine Clubhouse, a hotel-like facility adjacent to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital where families can stay for free while a child is being treated.
The 28th annual event was held for the fifth consecutive year at the Fort Lauderdale Country Club. The 184-player tournament raised $350,000 and has now generated well over $7 million in its history for the Conine Clubhouse, enabling more than 13,000 families to stay at the facility and remain close to sick kids during critical times in their lives.
Presented by Custom Rod & Reel, the fundraiser featured a celebrity in every foursome, including: Barry Larkin, Orlando ‘El Duque’ Hernández, Lamar Thomas, Cornelius Bennett, Shawn Wooden, Tony Nathan, and Gaby Sanchez, among others.
Daniella Jordan, executive director of the Levitetz Family Foundation and a spokesperson for Custom Rod & Reel, said Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and the Conine Clubhouse are near and dear to their hearts.
“This is a time where the unthinkable happens for these families and we’re happy that we’re able to make it a little easier for them and be a part of that.”
