Dunkin’ Donates More Than $22,000 to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation

South Floridians enjoyed sweet treats while kids and families battling cancer at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital got the benefit of a donation from the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. The nonprofit contributed a portion of the proceeds from its Gold Joy Donut campaign – more than $22,000 – to the hospital foundation’s Love Jen Fund to support those impacted by pediatric cancer.

The “Shine Gold for Kids Battling Cancer” fundraising effort took place July 19 - August 5 and enabled customers to donate $2.00 at participating Dunkin’ locations in exchange for the limited-time gold joy donut, with that money then donated to area children’s hospitals. A kickoff event at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital gave cancer patients the opportunity to decorate their own gold donuts.
