About Me
Dr. Allen Burkowsky is a board-certified pediatrician who specializes in pediatric critical care medicine. He earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College in a combined six-year Medical Education Program. He completed a pediatric residency at Albany Medical Center Hospital, where he was also chief resident. Dr. Burkowsky went on to complete a pediatric critical care fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Upon completion of fellowship training, Dr. Burkowsky was an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Divisions of Critical Care and Pulmonary Medicine at Albany Medical Center. He relocated to South Florida in 2000, where he has been practicing pediatric critical care ever since.
Dr. Burkowsky's interests include the management of pediatric respiratory failure, shock, and multiorgan system dysfunction, and chronic lung disease. He has special training in Pediatric bronchoscopy.
