Dr. Michael Jofe is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in pediatric orthopaedic surgery. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency in Boston at the Harvard University Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program. Participating hospitals include Children's Hospital Boston, Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital and Beth Israel Hospital. Following that, he was chosen to be chief resident in orthopedics at the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. He then completed a year of fellowship in pediatric orthopaedic surgery, also at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Jofe is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, the Scoliosis Research Society, the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Academy of Pediatrics and Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society.
Dr. Jofe has more than 30 years of experience in pediatric orthopaedic practice. He hosted the 2007 annual meeting of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America. His areas of interests include spinal deformities and bone and soft tissue tumors in children and adolescents.
